Instructional Program
Our philosophy is simple: Provide children with opportunity and guidance and they will discover the joys of learning while developing habits and skills needed later in life.
As a NAEYC accredited center our program is designed to meet the social and developmental needs of young children. It provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, language and communication skills, social and emotional, physical, and creative development.
We believe children learn through stages, thus the teacher’s prime responsibility is to assist children in growth development. The teacher must devise a curriculum plan that will facilitate growth during each stage.
Within the classroom’s daily schedule, each child has opportunities to create, explore the environment, and learn problem-solving and personal interaction skills through first-hand experiences.
Children participate in a variety of individual and group activities that are designed to develop language and reading readiness skills, along with math, social studies and science.
The curriculum focuses on pre-reading and pre-math skills and correlate to the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards for Four-Year Olds and the Common Core State Standards.
